On the last day of our trip, we started early from our hotel after having the complimentary breakfast at Hotel Tanisi.
We began our return journey towards Sirsi, taking the scenic Dandeli route, which is known for its forest roads, greenery, and peaceful surroundings. The drive was very enjoyable and refreshing.
On the way, we stopped for lunch at Udupi Aramane in Yellapur, where we had a good meal and took some rest before continuing the journey.
Our next stop was Sahasralinga, a unique and beautiful place near Sirsi. It is famous for having hundreds of Shiva lingas carved on rocks in the river. The name “Sahasralinga” means “thousand lingas,” and it is a peaceful and interesting place to visit.
After that, we visited the Marikamba Temple in Sirsi, which is a well-known temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is especially famous for its grand biennial festival, which attracts many devotees.
Originally, we had planned to stay at a homestay in Sirsi for the night. However, we changed our plan and continued our journey to Shimoga to meet my grandmother.
With this, our Goa trip came to an end—full of travel, adventure, temples, beaches, and beautiful family moments.
