Gahan’s Experience
Gahan went on the Thattakal Fort trek with his parents, along with his friend Nitara and her parents. The trek turned out to be quite challenging. The trail had many thorny bushes, and some of them hurt while walking through the path. At one point, Gahan also slipped into a small hole in the ground, which made the trek a little difficult for him.
Even though parts of the trek were tough, Gahan kept going. The hill did not have a clear path, and the group got a little lost while trying to find the correct route to the top. Nitara’s family decided to stop halfway and waited for the group while Gahan and his parents continued the climb.
About the Trek
The Thattakal Fort trek is around 6–7 km overall and can be more difficult than many other treks in the Krishnagiri region because some sections do not have a well-defined trail. Trekkers may have to move through bushes, uneven ground, and rocky terrain while navigating the route to the summit.
