Gahan’s Experience
Gahan went on the Jagadevi trek in Krishnagiri with his parents. The trek was moderately difficult and felt more like an exploration because the route is rarely trekked and does not have a clear path. To make the route easier for future trekkers, the group carried spray paint and marked some rocks along the way.
The trail included bushy sections and steep rocky areas. Gahan climbed through the bushes and carefully navigated the terrain. While descending, he even slid down a steep rock section that had around a 70° inclination, which made the trek exciting and adventurous.
About the Trek
The Jagadevi trek is around 4.5–5 km overall and leads to the ruins of an ancient hill fort. Since the trail is not well defined, trekkers often need to find their own route through bushes and rocky terrain. Because of the steep sections and lack of a clear path, the trek can feel moderately challenging even though the distance is relatively short.
