Gahan’s Experience
Gahan went on the Maharajakadai Fort trek with his parents. This trek was special because it was the longest trek he had done so far, covering around 8.8 km overall, and he completed it happily. During the trek, Gahan explored many interesting things in nature, including mushrooms and different kinds of plants and small creatures along the trail.
When they reached the peak, the wind was very strong and it became difficult to balance. To observe the wind direction, Gahan and his dad poured some water and watched the droplets fly in the air instead of falling straight down. The trek also turned into a small learning moment about protecting nature, as they picked up plastic bottles and waste left behind on the trail by visitors to the temple located on the hill.
About the Trek
The Maharajakadai Fort trek is about 8.8 km round trip and is considered a longer trek in the Krishnagiri region. The trail includes forest paths, rocky hill sections, and gradual climbs that lead to the fort ruins at the top. Because of the longer distance, the trek requires more stamina compared to many short temple treks nearby.
